This painting was inspired by my love of sunsets.The rewards for being out in Nature are numerous, but one of the best treats is a burst of colour at the end of the day! I loved the way the colours in this painting reflected off of the flooded marshland and at the same time reducing all other colours in the landscape to mere silhouettes as I was painting 'contre jour' ~ against the light.
